The PBA’s “Muscleman” Vic Manuel, a forward for the Alaska Aces in the Philippine Basketball Association (PBA), has reportedly asked his agent to explore all possible options for a trade.
Manuel’s contract with the Aces expired at the end of the year.
Apparently, he claimed that no one from team management got in touch with him after the team’s campaign ended in the PBA bubble season in Clark, Pampanga.
The Aces got booted out with a loss in the quarterfinal round to eventual runners-up TNT Tropang Giga, who had a twice-to-beat advantage.
The 33-year-old, 6-foot-4, 230-pound bruiser rejected offers back in college to play for a UAAP or NCAA school and chose to remain in his alma mater Philippine School of Business Administration (PSBA).
He made a name playing in the PBA D-League, then ended up with GlobalPort. He also played for Meralco and Air21 before finally suiting up for Alaska.
He was voted PBA “Mr. Quality Minutes” back in 2018. He also donned the national colors as part of the Gilas Pilipinas Men’s Basketball team that competed and won the gold during the 2019 SEA Games held in the Philippines.
