Swift police action leads to arrest of 3 robbery suspects in Quezon City

The prompt response of police operatives from Talipapa Police Station 3 of the Quezon City Police District (QCPD), under the supervision of PCOL Randy Glenn Silvio, led to the arrest of three robbery (hold-up) suspects shortly after they victimized a taxi driver along Cloverleaf West Service Road, Barangay Unang Sigaw, Quezon City.

The suspects were identified as alias “Asbi” (29 years old), alias “Muljani” (28), and alias “Jaime” (28)—all residents of Barangay Balon Bato, Quezon City.

According to a report from PLTCOL Von Alejandrino, Station Commander of PS 3, the incident occurred around 1:00 a.m. on October 12, 2025. The victim, a taxi driver from Barangay Tandang Sora, was driving along Muñoz when the three suspects flagged down his vehicle and posed as passengers.

Alias “Muljani” and alias “Jaime” sat in the back seat, while alias “Asbi” took the front passenger seat. Upon reaching West Service Road, one of the suspects suddenly announced a hold-up at knifepoint and took the driver’s cash earnings amounting to ₱3,300, while the other two acted as lookouts.

After the robbery, the victim immediately sought police assistance, prompting PS 3 operatives to conduct a swift follow-up operation. Within hours, the team successfully apprehended the three suspects under the bridge in Barangay Unang Sigaw.

A case for Robbery (Hold-up) has been filed against the suspects before the Quezon City Prosecutor’s Office.

PCOL Randy Glenn Silvio, Acting District Director of QCPD, commended the swift and coordinated efforts of the responding officers.

“This is another testament to the dedication and vigilance of our police officers. The QCPD remains steadfast in its mission to ensure the safety of every commuter and resident of Quezon City,” Silvio said.
