The Quezon City Police District (QCPD), under the leadership of PCOL Melecio M. Buslig, Jr., proudly announces the peaceful and successful conclusion of the Simbang Gabi 2024 celebration.
The nine-day series of dawn masses, held from December 16 to 24, proceeded without any untoward incidents, allowing devotees to celebrate their faith safely and harmoniously.
This accomplishment was made possible through the QCPD’s well-coordinated security measures.
A total of 216 QCPD personnel, supported by 264 force multipliers, were strategically deployed across churches and chapels in Quezon City. Their efforts ensured the safety of thousands of worshippers who gathered daily to honor this cherished Filipino tradition.
To further enhance public security, Buslig together with PCOL Roman Arugay, ADDO, and PLTCOL Vicente Bumalay, Jr., OIC, DOD, conducted on-ground inspections at key churches.
These proactive efforts ensured the effective deployment of police personnel and heightened visibility throughout the Yuletide season.
“I commend our hardworking police officers for the success of our deployments. I also extend my gratitude to the support provided by the QC-LGU, led by our honorable Mayor, Josefina ‘Joy’ Belmonte. The contributions of force multipliers, including the DPOS, TTMD, and Barangay Tanods, were instrumental in maintaining order and peace during Simbang Gabi. The smooth implementation of security measures for churchgoers highlights our commitment to ensuring public safety this Yuletide season,” Buslig stated.
The QCPD’s dedication to safety and collaboration with local government units and community partners exemplifies their unwavering service to the people during this festive time of year.
