JCISP announces search for TOFIL 2025

The JCI Senate Philippines (JCISP) has officially launched the search for The Outstanding Filipino (TOFIL) 2025. The announcement was made on Thursday, June 12, in a special event held at the Ropali Plaza in Pasig City. The program is held in partnership with the Ropali Group of Companies.

TOFIL is a national recognition program that honors Filipino men and women who have shown outstanding leadership, service, and integrity. These individuals have made a strong and lasting impact on the country through their work and actions.

Several former TOFIL chairpersons and awardees attended the launch event. One of them was Roberto Alingog, a TOFIL 2021 awardee and the current Chairperson of the Ropali Group of Companies. He welcomed guests and expressed his support for the 2025 search.

Rix Rafols, the 2025 TOFIL National Chairperson, explained that winning the TOFIL award is not just a form of recognition. It also helps promote the cause or advocacy that each awardee represents. According to him, TOFIL aims to inspire more people, especially the youth, to follow these role models.

Meanwhile, Alingog encouraged the public to nominate individuals with inspiring achievements or advocacies. He said his company believes in the mission of JCISP, and that TOFIL is a noble initiative that should be sustained.

“There are many pathways to greatness,” he added. “There are many pathways to service. Just do what you think is good for you and for society. And somewhere along the line, society will benefit from your efforts and society will give back.”

Nominees for the award must be Filipino citizens. They may be natural-born, naturalized, or dual citizens. They must also be at least 41 years old at the time of nomination and should demonstrate strong moral character, leadership, and a commitment to service.

Nominees can be from various sectors, including Government, the Private Sector, the Academic Community, and Civil Society Organizations. Former The Outstanding Young Men (TOYM) awardees may also be nominated.

To nominate someone, the submission must include a completed nomination form (available online at https://tofil.org/), a birth certificate from the Philippine Statistics Authority, Police and NBI clearances, and a formal portrait. It must also include a two-page executive summary and a detailed portfolio of achievements.

All nominations must be submitted in both hardcopy and softcopy formats. The deadline for submission is on or before August 23, 2025. JCISP will confirm submissions that are complete by August 31, 2025.

TOFIL 2025 is also an opportunity to share stories of service and leadership that can inspire the nation.
