IATF approves recognition of vaccination certificates from four other countries

THE Inter-Agency Task Force for the Management of Emerging Infectious Diseases (IATF) approved the recommendation of the Department of Foreign Affairs (DFA) to recognize and accept the National COVID-19 vaccination certificates of four other countries.

In an announcement, Acting Presidential Spokesperson and Cabinet Secretary Karlo Alexei Nograles identified the four countries as Brazil, Israel, South Korea, and Timor Leste.

According to Nograles, this is for the purpose of arrival quarantine protocols and for interzonal and intrazonal movement.

He said the four countries were added to the list of countries whose respective proofs of vaccination were earlier approved by the IATF.

In relation to this, the IATF tasked the Bureau of Quarantine, Department of Transportation One-Stop Shop and the Bureau of Immigration to recognize only those proofs of vaccination from countries that were approved by the IATF.

Included in the list of countries whose vaccination certificates were earlier accepted in the Philippines are Australia, Austria, Belgium, Canada, France, Germany, India, Japan, Kuwait, New Zealand, Singapore, Sri Lanka, Thailand, Netherlands, Turkey, UAE, United Kingdom, United States of America, Vietnam, Iraq, Italy, Tunisia, Colombia, Iraq and Armenia.
