The internet has indeed provided Filipinos an additional venue to market the real estate or property that they want to sell. However, the majority of online platforms serving this particular industry only offer listing of properties or real estate of owners for sale.
Grid Property Ventures, a Philippine-based commercial real estate firm established in 2018 and is operated by a small team, aims to revolutionize traditional property acquisition practices. It will introduce a modern and streamlined approach to property acquisition and offer added value services on top of the usual property listing.
The company aims to launch its full line of services in 2025 with the promise to bridge property owners, real estate brokers, agents, and investors. Its online platform is partly an online listing site but is backed by machine learning, AI, and other technologies, even a research team that can help property owners, buyers, and agents in conducting real estate transactions, identify which property listings are verified, arrange on-site tours, and provide 3D, virtual, and other creative tools to promote properties.
“We’ve observed that there is a large number of properties, especially in the residential category, that are available but no one is buying it,” said Queenie Rehman, head of Business Development for Grid Property Ventures. “So we thought of ways we can do to help these properties be sold faster. That led us to develop the business intelligence feature in our platform. Think of it as a feasibility study to help sellers market their properties to the right buyers.”
She added that existing real estate platforms are mainly catering to property sellers only. Grid Property Ventures will be serving both sellers and buyers who want to use its technology.
According to Grid Property Ventures CEO, President, and Founder Zaira Tumang, before the company shifted to a tech company for the real estate industry, it was initially established as a people company. When it was formed, it started by helping out property owners and buyers iron out the numerous problems in property acquisition that have plagued the Philippines and impacted potential investors both locally and abroad.
“We’ve heard, and some of us even encountered, property acquisition problems at the grassroots level. We want to address these problems and obstacles by bringing our talents and technology to stakeholders,” Tumang added.
Grid Property Ventures hopes that once its operations go on full scale, it can give an end-to-end solution for property selling for everyone even to Filipinos abroad who are either looking for properties to invest in or to sell existing properties they own without hiccups.
