Santa Rosa, Laguna — Enchanted Kingdom, the Philippines’ first and only world-class theme park, has officially kicked off its 30th anniversary with a vibrant and immersive Chinese New Year celebration, enchanting thousands of guests as they welcomed the Year of Snaptooth the Snake.
The festivities, which run from January 29 to February 9, are filled with cultural showcases, festive decorations, and special dining offers inspired by rich Chinese traditions.
The celebration began with excitement as the first 300 guests through EK’s magical gates received lucky red envelopes, a traditional symbol of prosperity. Adding to the festive spirit, visitors were treated to a meet-and-greet with EK’s beloved character, Snaptooth, and enjoyed the exclusive Snaptooth’s Prosperity Set Meal at Amazon Grill and LaunchTime restaurants.
For those needing an energy boost, a special 10% discount at the Snaptooth Snack Station provided a tasty perk.
One of the event’s highlights was the spectacular Enchanted Lunar New Year Parade, which dazzled guests as it made its way through EK’s themed zones, including Portabello, Brooklyn Place, and Spaceport. The parade featured colorful floats, vibrant performances, and the iconic Lion and Dragon Dance, symbolizing prosperity and good fortune for the new year.
As night fell, the park transformed into a luminous wonderland with a second parade, followed by a breathtaking LED Lion Dance performance, set to the rhythmic beats of traditional Chinese drums. In a magical moment, Snaptooth joined the dynamic lions in front of Eldar’s Theater, delighting the crowd with wishes of luck and happiness.
The festivities concluded with the awe-inspiring Sky Wizardry Fireworks Display, painting the night sky with dazzling colors—a fitting finale to a day filled with joy and celebration.
