Cebuana Lhuillier has once again demonstrated its long-standing commitment to helping Filipinos in times of crisis through its Tulong sa Pagbangon (TSP) relief initiative. Following the recent earthquake that struck Davao Oriental, the company, through the Cebuana Lhuillier Foundation, Inc. (CLFI), mobilized immediate relief efforts to support affected families and communities.
Under the TSP initiative, Cebuana Lhuillier distributed rice and grocery packs to households impacted by the disaster, providing much-needed food and supplies to help them recover and rebuild. The initiative forms part of the foundation’s ongoing mission to respond swiftly to calamities with compassion and concrete assistance.
“This initiative continues our mission to respond swiftly and compassionately wherever there is need. Through Tulong sa Pagbangon, we aim to provide not just immediate relief, but also a sense of solidarity and reassurance to communities during challenging times,” according to Jean Henri Lhuillier, President and CEO of Cebuana Lhuillier.
The company’s Cebuana RAPIDO Volunteers, a dedicated employee group trained for disaster response, played a key role in the operation. They organized, packed, and distributed the relief goods to ensure that help reached affected areas promptly. This rapid deployment underscores Cebuana Lhuillier’s emphasis on efficiency and empathy when it comes to disaster relief.
In addition to its operations in Davao Oriental, the foundation also extended aid to earthquake survivors in northern Cebu, providing similar relief packs to affected households. These continuous efforts highlight CLFI’s consistent drive to assist communities across the country in their journey toward recovery.
“Through Tulong sa Pagbangon, we reaffirm our dedication to uplifting Filipino families in their time of need. With the help of our volunteers and partners, we remain steadfast in bringing aid, hope, and comfort wherever it’s needed most,” said Jonathan D. Batangan, Executive Director of CLFI.
To further strengthen its relief operations, Cebuana Lhuillier Foundation is inviting the public to participate by making cash donations at any Cebuana Lhuillier branch nationwide. Donations can also be sent through the following bank accounts:
