ANTIPOLO City, Rizal — A private business was ordered by the city government to be placed under lock down after 14 of its 18 employees tested positive for the deadly coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19).
The temporary closure order on the private firm located in Sitio Buso-Boso was issued by Mayor Andrea Ynares.
Interestingly, the City Health Office hinted at doing another round of reverse transcription- polymerase chain reaction (RT-PCR) testing at the private firm for the confirmation of the first result.
All 14 individuals were immediately sent to the city’s isolation facility for the 14-day mandatory isolation.
The city government said contact tracing was immediately done to identify the close contacts.
Earlier this week, the city government imposed a granular lockdown on Martinez Street and Sitio Overlooking, both located in Barangay San Roque, after several persons in the area tested positive for acquired COVID-19.
