90% of infrastructure in Catanduanes, destroyed by #RollyPH

THIS was based on the partial assessment report of the Philippine National Police (PNP), after Super Typhoon “Rolly” hit the most part of Bicol and Visayas region.

PNP Chief General Camilo Cascolan is now heading to Bicol to do a personal damage assessment and ascertain the situation.

According to PNP Deputy Chief for Operations Lt. General Cesar Binag, Cascolan also ordered the sending of additional police personnel to the typhoon-hit region to assist in search and rescue operations and clearing operations.

There are at least 100 policemen from Region 7, Region 5 and 100 from the national headquarters are now deploying in the areas.

Police personnel in Albay who were affected by the typhoon especially those with houses damaged by the typhoon are need to be addressed first.

The PNP still has 17,000 troops on standby and can be deployed at any time if needed.
