Worldwide Resource Solutions Philippines Inc. (WWRS) has marked a major milestone in its growth with the successful completion of ISO/IEC 27001:2022 and HIPAA certifications — two critical frameworks that reinforce its role as a key KPO subsidiary of U.S.-based healthcare staffing leaders Medical Solutions Group (MSG) and WorldWide HealthStaff Ltd. The certifications, granted by TÜV Rheinland Philippines for ISO 27001 and QRC Assurance and Solutions Inc. for HIPAA, highlight WWRS’ commitment to safeguarding sensitive information and upholding the strictest data security standards required in the global healthcare ecosystem.
ISO/IEC 27001:2022 serves as the international benchmark for Information Security Management Systems (ISMS), ensuring comprehensive protection of organizational data. Meanwhile, HIPAA (U.S. Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act of 1996) mandates the protection of patient health information across healthcare providers and partners. According to WWRS Managing Director Rosita Lara “Otty” Lumagui, achieving these certifications reflects the company’s dedication to its role within MSG’s global operations. She emphasized that data confidentiality and integrity remain central to WWRS’ mission of “connecting care with excellence.”

WWRS’ achievements come at a time when the global healthcare industry is increasingly turning to virtual nursing care to meet the rising demand for patients. What started as an experimental model has now become a foundational element of modern healthcare delivery, enabling institutions to enhance efficiency without compromising patient outcomes. Supported by telehealth technologies, virtual nurses now assist with critical tasks, including inpatient support, documentation, patient education, triage, and post-discharge coordination. This remote capability helps ease the workload of on-site staff, allowing frontline nurses to focus on complex clinical procedures and improve overall care quality.
Further strengthening this direction, Medical Solutions Group CEO Rebecca Rogers Tijerino — together with senior leaders Brent Hardebeck, Natasha Mann, Sara Clock, and Alex Gaytan — visited WWRS Philippines at its Bridgetowne Complex offices in Quezon City. Tijerino, a seasoned executive with over 25 years of leadership experience across global staffing and workforce solutions companies, lauded WWRS for its rapid scale-up. From its initial workforce of 200 employees in 2024, the company has surged to more than 700 specialists across its Exxa and GBF Center locations — an expansion that mirrors MSG’s own growth across the United States, where it supports over 14,500 clinicians daily.
During a Filipiniana-themed town hall, MSG and WWRS leadership outlined strategic initiatives for the coming months. These include expanding WWRS’ branches inside and outside Metro Manila to ensure business continuity against natural disasters, launching leadership internship programs in the U.S., and fully equipping Philippine teams for expanded virtual care services. Tijerino highlighted that WWRS’ work directly contributes to MSG’s revenue and strengthens collaboration grounded in mutual respect for Filipino culture and the company’s unique workplace values.
Tijerino praised WWRS’ strong work ethic, technical expertise, and commitment to MSG’s mission of “Care Connect Excel.” She affirmed that the Philippines remains one of the world’s most dynamic talent markets, with WWRS proving its ability to scale, innovate, and deliver reliable results essential to U.S. healthcare organizations. The visit also allowed MSG leaders to immerse themselves in Filipino culture — from traditional attire and calesa rides to local delicacies such as puto, kutsinta, kakanin, and sorbetes — further reinforcing the long-term partnership between the two organizations.
