Olongapo City, Zambales – As the campaign period enters its final weeks, Team Vegafria, led by mayoral candidate Dr. Arnold Vegafria, is ramping up efforts with a series of campaign sorties across the city to directly engage with voters and promote the team’s advocacies.
Vegafria, a well-known talent manager turned public servant aspirant, said the intensified grassroots campaign aims to bring his platform closer to the people of Olongapo. Despite lacking backing from major businessmen or influential political figures, Vegafria expressed heartfelt gratitude for the warm reception and support he continues to receive from ordinary citizens.
“What matters most is that the people of Olongapo support us. That alone is more than enough,” he said.
The candidate also raised concerns over reported incidents involving their campaign materials. According to Vegafria, several of their tarpaulins have allegedly been taken down, damaged, or replaced by materials belonging to rival candidates.
“All we ask is a fair fight. We’re all working toward what’s best for the city,” he added, emphasizing the importance of clean and respectful campaigning among all candidates.
Team Vegafria is expected to continue its city-wide engagements until the close of the campaign period, as the local elections draw nearer.
