QCPD Acting Director leads emergency conference and surprise drug test

Quezon City Police District (QCPD) Acting Director PCOL Melecio M. Buslig presided over an emergency conference and conducted a surprise drug test today at the QCPD Hinirang Social Hall, Camp Karingal, Quezon City.

Focus on Policing Principles and Professionalism

During the conference, PCOL Buslig highlighted the core principles of NCRPO Regional Director PBGEN Anthony A. Aberin—ABLE, ACTIVE, and ALLIED—as essential pillars of effective policing. He also emphasized strict adherence to Police Operational Procedures (POP) and urged personnel to uphold integrity, avoid illegal activities, and maintain spiritual values.

“Staying true to the basics and doing what is right ensures not just effective law enforcement but also fosters public trust,” Buslig stated.

Drug-Free Commitment Reinforced

A surprise drug test was administered to 96 QCPD personnel, all of whom tested negative. This initiative underscores the district’s commitment to a drug-free workplace and the delivery of exemplary service to the community.

Attendees and Participants

Present during the activity were members of the Command Group, D-Staff, and key unit heads, including the OIC of the DMFB, and chiefs of CIDU, DSOU, DTEU, DACU, and DTMU. Station commanders from PS1-16, along with their SDEU chiefs, warrant officers, follow-up officers, and representatives from various units, also participated.

This activity reflects QCPD’s dedication to professionalism, accountability, and public safety.
