Etiqa Philippines has formalized a strategic partnership with Metro Pacific Health (MPH), the country’s largest private hospital network, in a move aimed at widening access to dependable and patient-centered healthcare for its members. The collaboration integrates Etiqa’s established expertise in group medical coverage and employee benefits with MPH’s extensive network of 29 major hospitals nationwide, reinforcing both organizations’ commitment to making healthcare more accessible, reliable, and responsive to the needs of Filipinos.
Under the new partnership, Etiqa Philippines and MPH will jointly explore innovative medical packages intended to improve affordability and convenience for Etiqa members and their families. These upcoming initiatives are expected to ease financial barriers that often hinder timely medical attention, while also promoting better health outcomes through more accessible care options. Both organizations emphasized that the collaboration is designed not only to expand coverage but also to create a more seamless patient journey across various healthcare touchpoints.
A key feature of the alliance is the assurance of uninterrupted access for Etiqa members to MPH medical facilities. Through this arrangement, patients can expect continuity of care for consultations, diagnostic procedures, treatments, and other medical services across the network. This ensures that members receive consistent and high-quality care regardless of their medical needs or location.
The partnership also highlights the growing role of MPH as a strategic healthcare ally. By aligning with Etiqa’s extensive network of over 1,500 partner hospitals and clinics nationwide, the collaboration strengthens the delivery of integrated and streamlined healthcare services. It aims to create a more cohesive system that supports coordinated care and smooth transitions between medical facilities.
The initiative is backed by leadership teams from both organizations. Metro Pacific Health was represented by Group CEO Dr. Haresh Pillai and Chief Commercial Officer Jessica Abaya. Etiqa Philippines was represented by President and CEO Anthony Bernabe, OIC-CFO Modesta Mammuad, OIC-COO and Head of Strategy & Transformation Gladys Pascual, First Vice President for Operations and Service Excellence Czarina Banal, FVP for Medical Operations and Medical Director Dr. Olivia Taloma, and AVP for Network Relations Services Dr. Jofel del Carmen.
Bernabe highlighted the significance of the partnership, stating that working with a reputable healthcare network such as MPH strengthens Etiqa’s mission to improve access to high-quality healthcare. He emphasized that the collaboration enhances their ability to deliver services that are both reliable and attuned to the evolving needs of Filipino employees.
Banal echoed this perspective, noting that the partnership will enhance service delivery by streamlining access and improving coordination across MPH facilities. Pascual added that ensuring consistent and dependable care is a core benefit of the collaboration, especially for members requiring consultations, diagnostics, and procedures.
