MONTHS after national vaccine rollout culminated, President Rodrigo Duterte finally received his first COVID-19 dose on Monday night in Malacañang.
Duterte, 76 years old, was injected with China-made Sinopharm COVID-19 vaccine following advice from his doctor.
Health Secretary Francisco Duque administered procedure, a photo of which was posted on social media by his longtime sidekick, now Senator Bong Go.
Sinopharm’s vaccine has yet to be approved by the country’s Food and Drug Administration for emergency use.
