CANON Marketing (Philippines), Inc. has appointed Rochelle Plata as assistant director and chief finance officer, following the retirement of long-serving executive Rosalia Baldorado.
Plata will oversee the company’s finance and accounting functions, with a mandate to strengthen financial governance and support sustainable business growth. Her responsibilities include improving financial planning and analytics, reinforcing internal controls and regulatory compliance, and streamlining finance operations to support more efficient decision-making.
“I appreciate the trust the company has placed in me,” Plata said, adding that her focus will be on building a disciplined and efficient finance organization that supports long-term growth.
A finance professional with 22 years of experience, Plata has spent 17 years with Canon, handling a wide range of functions including budgeting and management reporting, credit and collections, treasury, taxation, and general accounting. She is recognized for her experience in corporate governance, internal controls, and end-to-end financial management.
Her appointment signals continuity in Canon’s finance leadership, with an emphasis on operational excellence, financial discipline, and people development as the company navigates a competitive business environment.
