MANILA, Philippines — AboitizPower has expanded its MobileAP platform to include Billease via QR Ph, giving customers across five major distribution utilities a new and more flexible way to pay their electricity bills.
The MobileAP app now supports Billease payments for customers of Visayan Electric, which covers Cebu City, Mandaue City, Talisay City, and several municipalities in Cebu; Davao Light, which serves Davao City, Panabo City, and parts of Davao del Norte; Cotabato Light, which operates in Cotabato City and portions of Sultan Kudarat and Maguindanao del Norte; Subic EnerZone, which supplies power to the Subic Bay Freeport Zone, Olongapo City, and nearby areas; and Lima EnerZone, which provides electricity to the LIMA Estate in Lipa and Malvar, Batangas.
The integration marks a milestone in the digitalization of utility payments in key regional markets. For Billease, the rollout represents its largest utility partnership to date.
Under the new feature, customers can settle their electricity bills with zero percent interest until their next declared payday or convert their balances into installments of up to six months. AboitizPower said this is the first time traditional electric utilities operating across these regions are offering such a pay-later option.
The payment feature is powered by the QR Ph national standard, which enables secure and interoperable QR-based payments across the country.
To use the service, customers need to open or download the MobileAP app, select Billease as their payment method, and generate a QR Ph code. The code can then be uploaded or scanned within the Billease app, where users may choose to pay on their next payday at zero percent interest or convert the amount into installment terms.
Billease payments via QR Ph come with no minimum bill amount requirement and no service fees. Customers may use up to their available Billease credit limit and opt for installment terms of up to six months.
Melody Lim, Head of Customer Experience at AboitizPower, said the integration is part of the company’s effort to modernize utility services and provide more accessible payment options.
“By offering accessible and flexible pay-later options, we are putting our customers first—enabling millions of households across Luzon, Visayas, and Mindanao to better manage their day-to-day finances,” Lim said. She added that the partnership supports the development of a more inclusive and digitally enabled payment ecosystem in areas served by the company’s distribution utilities.
Kurt Molina, Head of POS Product at Billease, said the partnership demonstrates how digital financial services can broaden access to essential utilities beyond Metro Manila.
“We’re proud to enable millions of Filipino households to manage their electricity payments with greater flexibility and control,” Molina stated.
AboitizPower said customers of Visayan Electric, Davao Light, Cotabato Light, Subic EnerZone, and Lima EnerZone may begin using Billease for bill payments through the MobileAP app immediately.
