Roque, COVID-19 positive, too; regrets he didn’t get the shot

PRESIDENTIAL spokesperson Harry Roque tested positive for the deadly virus from Wuhan, China — and he seemed regretful for not being able to get a COVID-19 shot when President Rodrigo Duterte told him to.

“As of 11:29 ngayong umaga ay nakuha ko ang resulta ng COVID-19 test… at nagpositibo po ako. Kasama na po ang inyong abang lingkod bukas sa case bulletin ng DoH,” said Roque in an announcement.

Roque, however, insisted that he has yet been infected when he joined the President in Dumaguete City last March 11.

He also called on persons with whom he dealt with to immediately go on quarantine.

Roque, nonetheless, went on to the regular press briefing via Zoom.

“Mag-isa po ako sa aking opisina and that is why we are on Zoom,” averred Roque who expressed regret on not submitting himself to vaccination of the China-made jab on day one of the government rollout at the Philippine General Hospital.

“It was really sad na hindi ako nakapagpabakuna dahil I have to follow protocols, kailangan na unahin muna natin ang mga medical frontliners,” he quipped.
