LGBTQ member arrested for blackmailing minor in Olongapo City

OLONGAPO CITY – AGENTS of the Criminal Investigation and Detection Group-City Field Unit (CIDG-CFU), arrested a member of LGBTQ community for allegedly blackmailing a minor in Olongapo City.

Suspect Jaen Aguilar Alegre, 21 years old alias “Mark Smith”, was arrested in an entrapment operation inside a convenience store along Magsaysay drive while waiting for the victim.

According to Police Major Michael John Villanueva, chief of the CIDG-CFU, victims’ mother went to their office to file a complaint against Alegre for allegedly blackmailing her son, a minor, through social media.

The mother divulged that Alegre sends several copies of lewd photos and videos of her son while naked and even threatened him through text messages that it will be on several online media sites if he doesn’t want to see and have sex with him.   

CIDG operatives immediately formed and conducted the entrapment operation to apprehend Alegre.

Seized from the suspect were three pieces of oral jelly, 2 condoms, various identification cards, birth certificate and P300 cash.

Alegre was brought to the CIDG custodial facility in Barangay Barretto and now facing in violation of RA 10175 or the Cybercrime Prevention Act of 2020, RA 7610 or the Special Protection Against Child Abuse, Exploitation and Discrimination Act.
