IN August of this year, majority of schools in the country welcomed back students for the first full face-to-face classes after two years of quarantine and lockdown restrictions due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
Certain health protocols, particularly the wearing of face masks in outdoor areas, have also become optional but remained mandatory indoors and physical distancing is still practiced.
But according to Dr. Guido David from the OCTA Research Group, it is “very possible that there will be an increase in the number of COVID-19 cases when the children go back to school.”
However, he does not recommend keeping the students from going. Instead, he suggests following the standard safety measures, such as proper air ventilation and physical distancing. He also urged adult figures such as parents, teachers, and school staff to be vaccinated against the virus.
Apart from this risk, students also have to deal with the rainy season. Because of the cold, damp weather, children are more prone to developing common cold symptoms, such as runny nose, allergies, asthma and cough. This may make them more susceptible to the COVID-19 virus.
In order to protect children from these highly likely scenarios, it is important to be aware of the treatments that are available for it, such as Lagundi (Vitex negundo L.). Not only has Lagundi been clinically proven to relieve cough, asthma, and other respiratory diseases, it also acts as a preventive measure against severe COVID-19 symptoms.
Lagundex is a mucolytic, broncho-dilating, over-the-counter drug that utilizes the medical properties of Lagundi to treat mild to moderate cough safely and without side effects and improve the symptoms of mild COVID-19 patients. It is also proven safe for kids ages two years old and up.
The rainy season and face-to-face classes do not need to keep children from experiencing student life to the fullest. By following standard safety protocols and using medically approved treatments, children can return to school without any worries.
