Fines, jail time for face shields violators in Pasig and Pasay

Wearing of face shields is now mandatory in the cities of Pasig and Pasay as part of the actions taken against the spread of COVID-19.

Violators will be penalized with P1000 fine for the first offense. Second time offenders will have P2000 fine or 15 days in jail or both. Third offense will face P5000 fine or 1 month in jail or both.

Multiple time offenders will receive a penalty of 1 month in jail and P5000 fine.

The moved was supported by the Department of Health (DOH) who emphasized that wearing of face shields will help minimize of getting the virus.
