THE Metropolitan Manila Development Authority (MMDA) yesterday said they have already collected about 252 tons of election campaign materials from different parts of Metro Manila.

According to the MMDA, this is equivalent to 717 cubic meters of trash or about 71 trucks of trash collected from May 10 up to May 11.

Majority of the collected trash were tarpaulins and posters made out of plastic.

MMDA Chairman Romando Artes said they are looking at which ones from the collected campaign materials can be reused or recycled.
