THE operation of the 24/7 COVID-19 drive-thru vaccination in Quirino Grandstand in the City of Manila will end today.
According to the Manila Public Information Office (PIO), the last day of the drive-thru vaccination is open for those riding in four-wheel vehicles who want to get their COVID-19 booster shot.
All vaccine brands are available for booster shots, the Manila PIO added.
The office also advised the public that the drive-thru will remain open up to only 5 p.m. today.
The drive-thrui COVID-19 vaccination center was opened last January 2022, and there were instances that the center was packed with those who want to be vaccinated against the dreaded disease.
The announcement of the closure of the vaccination center was made by the city government of Manila but no official reason was cited for its closure.
However, according to some people in the vaccination center, very few are going to have their booster shots, and personnel assigned there will be redeployed to other important assignments.
Despite the closure of the drive-thru vaccination, the city government said that vaccination against COVID-19 and administering of booster shots will continue in the city’s health centers, malls and district hospitals.
