THE Department of Health (DOH) Transition Team will meet this week to discuss and prepare the turnover process for the incoming administration.
According to DOH Spokesperson and Undersecretary Maria Rosario Vergeire, this is in compliance with the Administrative Order released by the Office of the President on the creation of transition teams in all government agencies.
According to Vergeire, the DOH already formed a team, which she said will hold a meeting within the week.
During the meeting, Vergeire said they will lay out and identify one by one the priority programs that need to be focused on to enable the turnover of functions to the incoming Marcos administration.
The DOH earlier said that the new administration should be able to continue the massive vaccination program and reach the target of 90 percent of the population be administered with COVID-19 vaccines and booster shots.
